After making your way to the picturesque shores of Corsica, you'll visit some of the Riviera's most famous resorts, including St Tropez and the self-contained Principality of Monaco. Return to Italy as you make your final two stops and disembark the ship at Civitavecchia, gateway to the Eternal City – Rome. On Seabourn Encore, you'll enjoy world-class restaurants, including The Grill by Michelin-star chef Thomas Keller, presentations by lauded guest speakers, and onboard amenities such as the Spa & Wellness centre and the open-air Sky Bar. This is the best way to see Europe in style.

Day 2
Trapani, Sicily

After a delicious breakfast this morning you'll arrive in Trapani, a charming town on the west coast of Sicily. With its unique sickle-shaped topography, Trapani extends into the ocean at the foot of the magnificent Mount Erice, from where you can see Africa on a clear day. Explore the bustling streets on foot, perhaps paying a visit to the Pepoli Museum which showcases a magnificent collection of 16th century Trapanese coral art. Alternatively, add on an excursion; ancient Segesta is just a short drive away, or opt for the Marsala History & Wine tour, with a panoramic drive past the salt pans and plenty of local food and wine tasting.

Day 3
Golfo Aranci (Costa Smeralda), Sardinia, Italy

Costa Smeralda is a stretch of Sardinian coastline known for its sparkling turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. Today's port of call, Golfo Aranci, is a former fishing village and hidden gem of boutique shops, restaurants and of course, beach resorts. Add-on excursions here range from scenic coastal drives to gentle boat rides; visit an island in the Maddalena Archipelago, characterised by tumbling granite rock walls, crystal-clear water, and plenty of native wildlife. After a day spent exploring this Sardinian jewel, return to the ship for dinner, perhaps visiting Sushi, a Japanese restaurant where chefs prepare your food in front of you for a truly authentic experience.

Day 4
Bastia, Corsica, France

Today you'll arrive in Bastia, France's second busiest port, located on the island of Corsica in the shimmering Mediterranean. Though a French island since 1768, Corsica retains a distinct Italian vibe, from its architecture to its cuisine. Bastia's Vieux Port boasts a charming quayside area, watched over by the twin steeples of the historic Église Saint-Jean Baptiste. A stroll around the old town reveals quaint streets lined with cafes and restaurants, while a short climb up the winding stairway from the waterfront to the Jardin Romieu opens up panoramic views over the port. Optional excursions include a guided tour of the city, or a visit to the hillside village of Oletta for traditional Corsican wine. Back on board, perhaps attend a presentation by a guest speaker – part of Seabourn's Conversation series.

Day 5
La Ciotat, France

Between the tourist hotspots of Marseille and Toulon along the Cote d'Azur, you'll stop at La Ciotat, a slow-paced, charming harbour town with a unique history. It was here that the Lumière Brothers made their first films and created the first colour photographs, and the remaining Eden Théâtre claims to be the oldest surviving public cinema. A walk through La Ciotat's streets uncovers 17th century buildings, colourful shutters and hidden statues, while the main street is bustling with shops and restaurants. From La Ciotat there are a range of add-on tours available, including a scenic drive to Marseille, and a walking tour of Aix-en-Provence. If you're feeling tired after a day if sightseeing, visit the Spa & Wellness centre on board for an indulgent massage.

Day 6
Saint-Tropez, France

Today you'll arrive in Saint-Tropez, one of Europe's most famous resorts and a magnet for celebrities and artists. In fact, some of history's greatest artists have spent extended periods of time in this picturesque bay, from Matisse to Signac, capturing images of a harbour teeming with colourful life. As you amble along the waterfront, spot the trademark pink and yellow houses now converted into shops, bars and restaurants. An optional walking tour is perhaps the best way to get to know this town, taking you along the seafront and into the heart of its elm tree-lined streets. Or, add on a Provencal wine tour in a hilltop village overlooking the sea. After returning to the ship, finish your day with a delicious cocktail under the stars at the Sky Bar.

This is a millionaire's playground, brimming with luxury hotels, supercars, grandiose yachts, and the glamorous Monte Carlo Casino. There are a host of optional tours available here, from a guided exploration of Monte Carlo itself to a trip to nearby Nice or the fascinating medieval village of Eze. If you prefer, take a leisurely stroll around the broad boulevards, past the cathedral housing the tombs of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier. Back on board, enjoy a relaxed dinner at The Colonnade featuring regionally-themed dishes and an al fresco dining area.

Day 8
Viareggio, Italy

This morning you'll arrive in Viareggio, a lively seaside port with a carnival atmosphere. Nicknamed the Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea, it's nestled between Massa Carrara's marble cliffs and the Tyrrhenian's foamy waters, boasting over 10km of wide sandy beaches. At the beginning of each year, the resort is overtaken by the Carnevale di Viareggio, drawing thousands of visitors who come to see the colourful floats and masquerade processions that circle the city centre. If you're visiting outside of carnival season, you can learn more about its origins with a visit to the Carnival Museum. Be sure to spend some time on the waterfront among the fanciful cafes and restaurants; it's a great place for people-watching. This evening, choose once again from the selection of included onboard restaurants, or dine in the comfort of your suite with attentive steward service.
