Location

Bagan – alongside Angkor Wat – is Asia’s most important archaeological site. 2,200 temples, stupas and pagodas form an ancient city that dates back to the 9th century. As yet unblighted by package tourism, it’s the perfect opportunity to step back in time as you travel dusty laneways to reach delicate spires and colossal iconography that peaks out over the plain forest.
