The luxurious La Gazelle D'Or is located two kilometres outside the beautiful walled city of Taroudant in the picturesque Sous Valley, 30 miles east of Agadir in southwest Morocco. To the north you'll find Marrakesh and the High Atlas Mountains, while to the south the Anti-Atlas Mountains lead on to the vast expanse of the Sahara Desert.
Accommodation at Gazelle D'Or offers comfort, privacy and luxury across 30 ground-floor stone cottages, each of which has its own private terrace leading onto the hotel's beautiful landscaped gardens. All suites are open plan, decorated in a modern Moroccan style with traditional touches throughout and feature a dressing room, spacious bathroom with bath and separate shower, free WiFi, a safe, mini-bar and open fireplace.
Organic, home-grown produce, wholesome natural ingredients and a menu combining the best of traditional Moroccan and European cooking styles ensure that guests will enjoy a dining experience like no other. Breakfast is served each day in the comfort of your suite and consists of fresh fruit and juices, home made yoghurt, cheeses, breads and pastries and a cooked breakfast on request.
Lunch takes the form of a sumptuous buffet, served by the pool and including a wide choice of salads, grills and tagines, while dinner is a more formal affair, with four delicious courses served in the elegant main dining room, or on the terrace during spring and summer. End your day with a nightcap in the lounge with an accompaniment of piano music in the background.
For such a boutique hotel, the facilities are impressive to say the least, with a gorgeous spa forming the centerpiece of La Gazelle's leisure facilities. Here you can enjoy a traditional Moroccan hammam (exfoliating steam bath) followed by a selection of treatments from massage to aromatherapy. The hotel also has its own yoga instructor, available on request, as well as a gym, a 25-metre swimming pool, two clay tennis courts and gorgeous landscaped gardens.
