Once you’ve finished exploring for the day, you’ll return to the lodge’s immaculately contemporary architecture. Think blonde timber and exposed walls, wrapped up in pampas grass and walking routes first struck out by ancient indigenous peoples. For the best views of it all, opt for a suite for your very own private balcony. Then, while the spa’s pools, treatment rooms and outdoor hot tubs are perfect for relaxing in after the activities, don’t miss out on the lodge’s very own natural hot springs.

For further relaxation, head to the open bar. Stocked with fine Chilean wines, it’s a convivial meeting point – a welcoming atmosphere that spills into the full-board restaurant. Here, you’ll be treated to invigorating dishes, designed to fuel you on your activities and make the most out of high-quality ingredients. For something a bit different, the lodge often makes use of a traditional adobe house and its patio for a special-occasion barbecue. Expect spit-roasted lamb, beef and fish accompanied by Andean song and dance performed by local artists.
