Location

The hotel is centrally located in the elegant Recoleta district of Buenos Aires and is just a few steps from the largest avenue in the world – Avenida 9 de Julio. The district of Recoleta is of significant historical and architectural interest, most notably in its cemetery, just a short walk from the hotel. Mazes of streets, winding between the plethora of mausoleums and art nouveau sculptures are architecturally impressive and anything but morbid. The area is also home to the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, displaying work by Goya and Rembrandt, and Libreria El Ateneo Grand Splendid. Formerly a theatre, inaugurated in 1919, it's now a bookstore and a chance to step back in time to the city's early 20th century grandeur.

Accommodation

Decorated with contemporary flair and every modern comfort, the Deluxe accommodation is among the most spacious in Buenos Aires at 42 square metres. The 265 natural-light filled rooms and suites offer splendid views of either the river or the landscaped garden – Terrazas del Museo. Each room features a spacious Italian marble bathroom, custom made bed, well stocked mini bar and state of the art technical amenities, including a 42” TV with cable channels and high speed WiFi, so staying connected is never an issue. Lastly, a quiet stay is ensured by soundproof, acoustic tiles.

Dining

Maximus Restaurant and Oliver's Bar blend fabulous cuisine and cocktails with detailed service while maintaining a relaxed ambience. The restaurant overlooks a charming garden with artificial waterfalls cascading as you dine. A wide variety of delicacies are offered that range from an American breakfast buffet to a colourful regional buffet lunch. The signature Mediterranean specialities are not to be missed at dinner and are served a la carte. Alternatively, Oliver's Bar offers warm English pub-style ambience through its antique furnishing and period paintings. A wide selection of cocktails, bar bites and wines – including vintages from Argentina – are available throughout the day as well as a classic afternoon tea and buffet.

Facilities

A well-equipped fitness centre featuring weights and cardio equipment is available for use at your leisure. Alternatively, if relaxing appeals more, unwind in the sauna and solarium, go for a swim in the full length indoor pool, or pamper yourself with a replenishing spa treatment with one of the many massages on offer. A full-service concierge can assist you with a wide range of services from babysitting to shopping recommendations.
