Location
This refreshingly contemporary hotel is located in bustling Mongkok, close to Kowloon's colourful markets, and just two stops on the underground train (MTR) from the highlights of Hong Kong's famous harbour. The hotel features up to the moment design, the latest in technological advancements and faultless service.
Accommodation
Rooms at the Cordis Hong Kong offer all the facilities and amenities you'd expect from a five-star hotel, from a pillow menu to ultra-fast broadband and oversized marble bathrooms. It’s all dressed in flawless contemporary style. However, it’s the floor-to-ceiling windows that impress the most, offering stunning views over Hong Kong’s iconic skyline. For the best vistas, upgrade to a Deluxe Plus room or suite; they start on the 23rd floor. There’s also a selection of club rooms, offering exclusive lounge access detailed below in the facilities section.
Dining
Like its city host, the Cordis features a full range of gastronomic options. Of them, the double-Michelin-starred Ming Court is the headline act, with authentic Cantonese dishes paired with a 400-strong wine menu. For something more relaxed, head to the Garage. Here, a pair of vintage Citroen vans serve up a spread of Western food truck favourites with an Asian twist. Don’t also miss the choice of 40 craft beers. But, if you can’t decide, there are the indulgent buffets of the Place. From breakfast through until dinner, you’ll be treated to everything from traditional classics to bold new flavours. The afternoon tea is a particular highlight.
Facilities
Aside from the usual high-end amenities, one aspect of the Cordis that our travellers have been particularly impressed with is the complimentary smartphone. Throughout your stay, you’ll enjoy unlimited data, local and international calls, and access to travel information, from where to eat to how to tip. Back at base, the hotel’s Club is another favourite. Here, you’ll enjoy the use of the rooftop swimming pool, Jacuzzi and fitness centre, along with a complimentary menu that spans from afternoon tea and snacks to glasses of bubbly and champagne breakfasts. Lastly, there’s the superb Chuan Spa. Relax after a day’s sightseeing with the likes of massages, facials and body wraps.
