Location
Byron is a boutique villa hotel overlooking the sea at Forte dei Marmi, with a stylish seafront stretching along one of the most beautiful parts of the Tuscan coast. Here, you can relax into a more local way of life, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and unspoiled beaches. It's all surrounded by a private garden, set against the backdrop of the Apuan Alps.
Accommodation
The hotel features just 29 guest rooms, all featuring a refined, contemporary style. Glass walls and doors provide an immediate sensation of space infused with natural light. Expect parquet floored rooms, marble bathrooms with walk in showers and the latest touch-screen technology coupled with mountain or sea views. All delightful, all wonderfully luxurious.
Dining
The Michelin-starred Ristorante La Magnolia specialises in contemporary, regional cuisine served in the intimate setting of the panoramic terrace. Chef Marco Bernardo’s dishes are a free expression of Italian cookery, impressing with their unrestrained creativity. Don’t miss his two hallmark dishes: matured blackspot seabream, Amalfi lemon and marinated fennel, and his Gragnano linguine, with ragout of clams, samphire and smoked garlic. Equally unmissable is his fish soup, saffron and so-called 'lost country' bread, which Bernardo serves up in the form of a mosaic, where each fish is clearly distinct and garnished with locally caught shrimp.
Facilities
There is an outdoor swimming pool at the hotel, and a private beach club stretching out towards the shore. Tennis courts are just a short walk away, and horseback riding and golf can be easily arranged.
