Where to go in Southern Vietnam & The Mekong
List of regions
Phu Quoc is Vietnam's largest outlying island, located off the south-west coast in the Gulf of Thailand. It's largely untouched by tourism, and just a short flight from Ho Chi Minh City, making it a perfect spot to escape to for some beach relaxation.
Chau Doc is a bustling centre and important trading post for the agricultural business of the Mekong. Located right on the border of Cambodia, a large Khmer population brings its own traditions to the floating markets, making them some of the liveliest in the land.
