Day by day itinerary

Day 1
UK to Miami

You’ll begin your trip in style with included VIP airport lounge access before departing the UK and arriving in Miami, where you’ll be transferred to your hotel for the night. Take the chance to explore Miami's cosmopolitan charm, perhaps visiting the Art Deco District or indulging in some shopping on Coconut Grove before being reminded of the city’s Cuban heritage with a stroll along Calle Ocho in Little Havana. Be sure to sample their gastronomic delights – try Versailles Restaurant for authentic Cuban flavours.

Day 2

Today, you’ll check out of your hotel before being transferred to the port where you’ll board the spectacular Regent Seven Seas Explorer. But first, take the chance to explore more of Miami – perhaps relax on South Beach and spot a few celebrities, or visit the historic Venetian Pool. Then, board your home for the next 16 days, the Seven Seas Explorer. Opulent mahogany wood furnishings and marble and stone bathrooms ensure every level of suite feels luxurious, with the most deluxe featuring a private balcony and outdoor hot tub. Perhaps enjoy a spa treatment before a dip in the infinity pool, or simply relax on deck before indulging in the delicious range of cuisine offered on board. Every guest will enjoy all-inclusive luxury throughout, with a wonderful dining experience guaranteed from any of the eight restaurants, from the muted lighting of Pan-Asian Pacific Rim and chic Parisian fine dining at Chartreuse to the open-air Pool Grill and casual The Café.

Days 3-4
At sea

You’ll spend two days cruising the mighty Atlantic Ocean, but you’ll never run out of things to do on board the Seven Seas Explorer. Take advantage of the Culinary Arts Kitchen, one of the world’s most prestigious cooking schools, and enjoy cookery classes where you’ll create a wide range of dishes from around the world, from Swedish smörgåstårta to fresh Peruvian ceviche. Save room for supper, though, as there's still a range of cuisine to indulge in such as Compass Rose's customisable menu under a wonderful ice-blue light setting, or choose a more intimate experience at the candlelit Sette Mari at La Veranda, which offers exquisite Italian fare. End evenings with drinks in the opulent Observation Lounge that features nightly live music.

Days 5-6
Royal Naval Dockyard, Bermuda

The historic Royal Naval Dockyard awaits you today; originally built for the British Navy, it later served as a North Atlantic base during both World Wars. Framed by azure blue waters, this port is one of Bermuda’s most popular, filled with museums such as the Maritime, pubs, shops and restaurants, as well as a plethora of island activities. These are offered directly from the ship and are of varying length, including the Premier Glass bottom boat cruise, ideal for lovers of marine life; a dockyard walking tour; and a ‘famous homes’ tour, where you're met with waterfront houses belonging to the likes of Michael Douglas as you cruise the turquoise waters. A climb up to Gibbs Hill Lighthouse gives you panoramic views of the South Shore beaches, while the tiny village of Somerset, similarly to its eponymous neighbor across the Atlantic, is beautifully picturesque, featuring tranquil coves and brightly-coloured churches framed by sandy beaches. Or, if you simply want to relax, you're ideally positioned by Bermuda's beautiful South Shore beaches, including Horseshoe Bay and Warwick Long Bay.

Days 7-11
At sea

Enjoy the next few days exploring the extensive amenities of the luxurious ship. Whether you're sunbathing or swimming on the pool deck, relaxing in the whirlpool tubs, or running around the jogging track, be sure to take in the humbling surrounds of the Atlantic that serves as your grand backdrop. Perhaps enjoy games of cards with new-found friends in one of the many lounges, or pick out a novel from the vast library and enjoy a quiet few hours reading in a comfy armchair before some sundowners on deck or in one of the ship's bars.

Day 12

Today you’ll reach Funchal, the capital of the “Island of Eternal Spring”, Madeira. It's known for exquisite wines and a subtropical climate, and with an origin that is entirely volcanic, combined with its greenery and rugged scenery, it's a place where exploration has no limits. See a good portion, though, with many of the excursions offered through the ship, from fishing villages and vista tours to an afternoon tea from Europe's highest cliff. And of course, don’t leave the island without sampling some of that famous Madeira wine.

Day 13 will see you making the most of your last day on board the luxury ship. Perhaps browse the extensive range of products in the boutique, from handbags to designer clothes, or enjoy a game of mini golf with your partner. And after supper, enjoy an exciting musical in the Constellation Theatre as you sit on cabaret-style seats enjoying post-dinner cocktails.

Day 14

Today you’ll arrive in Malaga, where thoughts of high-rise resorts heaving with sun-seeking tourists are all but forgotten once you’ve explored its fascinating multi-layered heritage, historic buildings and extensive countryside. You’ve got a vast range of excursions on offer which can be organised from the ship, from panoramic city tours and trips on solar powered trains to traditional Andalusian village visits and walking tours of Picasso’s birthplace. For the adventurous there are also scenic bike rides, hikes through caves and walking tours through traditional Andalusian villages. Wherever you visit, be sure to try a sweet dessert wine from the vineyards just outside the town.

Day 15

Dynamic Alicante is your penultimate destination, where historic castles and waterfronts are framed by colourful houses and long golden beaches. Explore the buzzing bar scene for which Alicante is renowned with an afternoon tipple on the wine tasting tour organised by the ship, or take the chance to relax on the many white-sand beaches that line the shore. Take a unique ride via a trolley train through historical Alicante, and be sure to visit the stunning town of Guadalest, one of the most unique destinations in all of Spain, where picturesque towns play host to orange-tree lined landscapes and dramatic castles.
