Start in the placid beauty of Vancouver and its city-framing mountains before sailing to the Alaskan frontier, exploring dense forests, colossal glaciers and rugged coastlines. There's even the chance to explore the Russian frontier of Petropavlovsk before sailing into Japan's picturesque islands, filled with red bridges and temples, enjoying traditional village visits and hot spring bathing. Finally, finish in the vibrant skyscrapers of of Tokyo, enjoying river cruises and walking tours to explore its endless delights. Day 1
UK to Vancouver

After beginning your trip in leisurely style with complimentary VIP airport lounge access, fly directly to Vancouver. On arrival, you’ll be met and privately transferred to the Hilton hotel, where you'll enjoy fresh, contemporary rooms and a rooftop pool, centrally located in downtown Vancouver. You've got the afternoon at leisure; perhaps take the chance to explore iconic Canada Place or dynamic Gastown’s streets peppered with 19th century buildings, unique art galleries and boutiques. Or stroll around historic Yaletown, where charming shops and buzzy bars line picturesque oceanfront walkways. Then, this evening, sample one of Vancouver's famous Japanese eateries or steakhouses.

Day 2
Vancouver

You’ve got a full day to explore Vancouver today. Perhaps stroll through the abundance of forest trails, the serene Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden – the third largest outside of China – and Stanley Park, which plays host to acres of water-lined greenery and woodland. The Capilano Suspension Bridge, the world's longest and highest of its kind, is a wonderful way to absorb the surrounding forests and waterfalls, or the craggy rocks of Lighthouse Park provide a gorgeously scenic place to while away the hours. You could even head on a day trip to the surrounding archipelago, such as the national parks of the Sunshine Coast or the wonderful whale watching opportunities around Vancouver Island.

Day 3
Vancouver to Anchorage, Alaska

This morning, take your private transfer to the airport and fly to Anchorage. Upon arrival, your private car will transfer you to the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel and Spa, where you'll enjoy a spectacular location, panoramic views and a luxurious spa. Sample the onsite Jade restaurant this evening, or head to one of Anchorage's seafood eateries such as Seven Glaciers, overlooking stunning mountains and ocean, offering local Alaskan fish dishes and farm-fresh beef.

Day 4
Anchorage

You’ve got a full day to explore Anchorage’s delights today. Perhaps head to the endless national parks and glaciers, such as on a hike to Flattop Mountain, or visit Chugach State Park to glimpse the iconic Portage Glacier. Spot moose, bears and eagles by following the popular Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, and look out from the coast to spot beluga whales. Or, head to the Anchorage Native Heritage Centre to learn about local heritage and traditions and enjoy performances reenacting tribal dances.

Day 5
Anchorage to Seward

Take your transfer to Seward and embark Silversea's stunning Silver Shadow, where luxurious suites and a wealth of amenities lie alongside four exquisite fine-dining restaurants. Be sure to head up on deck as you take in the beauty of Seward, surrounded by the iconic Kenai Fjords National Park, verdant carpet of Chugach National Forest, and the mountain-edged Resurrection Bay. Tonight, sample the first of the ship's restaurants, such as La Terrazza’s Italian delicacies among floor-to-ceiling windows letting in the panoramic ocean vistas.

Kodiak

Today will see you sail to picturesque Kodiak. There are a whole wealth of excursions that can be arranged daily from the comfort of the ship to make the most of the region you are in. Head on seaplane excursions to view roaming bears, a picturesque nature walk through the Abercrombie State Park, or a scenic walking tour of Kodiak to explore its rugged coastal beauty.

Day 7
At sea

Enjoy your first full day at sea today, exploring the ship’s delights. Perhaps head to the Observatory Lounge for whale watching, relax on the pool deck with a cocktail, head out jogging on the track or borrow a book from the library and relax. Then, enjoy another gourmet eatery, perhaps the sparkling crystal and candlelight of The Restaurant, where you’ll enjoy specialities specific to Alaska such as fresh seafood. It’s a wonderful prelude to a post-dinner drink in Dolce Vita, alongside complimentary cocktails and live music.

Day 8
Dutch Harbour

Sail through the Dutch Harbour today, where snaggletooth peaks and rugged coastline form the setting for hiking volcanic landscapes and looking for bald eagles. We also recommend a shuttle tour around the city, where you'll stop at the World War II visitor centre and the Museum of the Aluetians, among other fascinating points of interest.

Days 9-12
At sea

Day 10 sees you cross the International Date Line, meaning a lost day, but you've still got three full days to explore the delights of the ship. Perhaps enjoy poolside al fresco dining before relaxing in the bubbling whirlpools or indulge in the luxury Zagara spa with a sauna session and massage. Come evening, perhaps enjoy a champagne reception at the casino and enjoy the games on offer, or head to the Show Lounge where you'll enjoy such delights as classical soloists and feature films as well as port talks and enrichment lectures.

Petropavlosk, Kamchatka, Russia

Today sees you sail into the The Kamchatka Peninsula, part of the Eastern frontier of Russia. Enjoy a range of excursions, such as a walking tour discovering cultural museums and historic churches, a native community visit with Russian folk dancing, and a rugged six-wheel drive sightseeing tour to scenic volcanoes.

Days 14-15
At sea

You’ve got another two days at sea today and there’s still a wealth of amenities to explore, such as boutique shopping, Pilates classes at the fitness centre, or cards in the card room with new-found friends. Perhaps enjoy a dinner at The Grill, where you can cook your own fish and meat on lava stones, before a drink in the Panorama Lounge with a live DJ to entertain.

Day 16
Kushiro, Japan

Arrive into your first port in Japan today as you sail into Kushiro, known as the "town of mist". Enjoy exploring its coastal splendours and discovering the abundance of tree and bird species at Japan's largest wetland. Then, make time to visit the bustling fish markets and traditional villages, as well as a final stop at Kawaya Onsen for a relaxing bathe in the hot springs.

Day 17
Hakodate

Anchor into Hakodate today, where European churches dot winding rivers and a steep hillside, explored with guided tours where you'll discover the colossal Mount Hakodate and waterfront red brick district, finishing with a ride on the cable car for panoramic city vistas. There's also the chance to enjoy a sushi lesson, as well as nature walks through the stunning lakes of Onuma National Park.

Day 18
Aomori

The temples, red bridges and blossom trees of Aomori are next today and the ship’s excursions offer several panoramic tours, where you'll discover the stunning Lake Towada and dense forests of Mount Hakkoda, as well as enjoying traditional lunches and a gondola ride through the treetops. There's also the chance to discover Aomori City, the Seiryu-ji Temple and its Buddha statue, as well as observing the lantern work in Warasse Village, home of the world-famous Nebuta Festival.

At sea

Enjoy your final day at sea today before perhaps enjoying pre-dinner drinks with new-found friends and indulging in the Relais & Châteaux restaurant for your final evening, where fine wines are complemented by a set tasting menu of regionally inspired dishes in an intimate, elegant setting.

Days 20-21
Tokyo

Today sees you sail into Tokyo’s myriad delights. Don’t miss the Tokyo Imperial Palace and the surrounding gardens, as well as the Sensoji Temple, Tokyo's oldest shrine. Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate) opens to an ancient shopping street lined with stalls, leading to Hozoman Gate and the second tallest pagoda in Japan, alongside its magnificent main hall with sweeping gold roofs. Make sure to visit the Tokyo National Museum, the oldest and biggest in the country, housing the world's largest collection of Japanese art. Then, debark Silver Shadow on day 21 and take your private transfer to the Hyatt Regency for a two night stay. We’ve included a four-hour tour where you'll visit the Hama-Rikyu Garden, Asakusa Kannon Temple and Nakamise Shopping street, enjoying a Sumida River Cruise alongside, naturally, evenings sampling Japanese’s fantastic cuisine, from sushi to steakhouses.
