There's a genuinely home-from-home feel to this beautiful old colonial house a five-minute stroll from the capital. So much so that you can help yourself to drinks from the bar and snacks from the pantry and keep your own tab.
A few of the rooms are located in the main house but most are in the green and palm-fringed garden with balconies or terraces that face the pool. Each is tastefully decorated and features all the essentials, including flatscreen TVs and Wi-Fi connectivity.
There's no restaurant per say but breakfast is included and delivered each morning to your room. An à la carte lunch is served by the pool and a traditional English tea is available each afternoon at four. Picnic lunches and light evening meals are also available on request.
Staff members have been at the Rosedon for an average of 20 years and the charming manager, Muriel Richardson, is a former President of the Hotel Association. Their pride in their work really shines through and if you like your hotels to be informal and intimate, we've no doubt at all that you'll love the Rosedon.
We like: The warm and friendly service and home-from-home atmosphere.
Best for: Couples looking for an intimate, informal island experience.
