American Airlines to introduce advance meal reservation

5 June 2013 by Luke McCormick

American Airlines is to introduce advance meal reservations on all flights with scheduled meal services.

In a statement the airline said: "At American Airlines, we're bringing our customers a new level of comfort and convenience. So naturally, we are the first U.S. airline to offer First and Business Class customers the choice to reserve their preferred entrée in advance on American flights.

"Customers can review the menu and make their selection from 30 days in advance until 24 hours before their flight departs.

"Plus, when travelling internationally our customers will enjoy other enhancements throughout their flight, from restaurant style dining and custom sundaes to upgraded amenity kits and new slippers.

"Customers travelling on our new 777-300ER aircraft will also appreciate our walk-up refreshment bar with a selection of snacks, sandwiches and sweets."
