"Our ’25 Great Winter Deals’ promotion isn’t our only celebratory initiative. We have some exciting events planned for the next couple of months including daily prize draws on board and a great initiative that will be inviting passengers to share the stories of their own special celebrations this year."
Spirit of Tasmania launched the celebrations for its quarter-century with a grand event held on board Spirit of Tasmania at Station Pier in Port Melbourne. The festivities saw guests treated to a breakfast and leisurely half hour cruise.
One of Tasmania’s sporting icons, Max Walker, said: "I’m a proud Tasmanian and this service has been great for my home state in terms of providing a leisurely, convenient and affordable method of transporting people across Bass Strait. It’s an honour to be invited to celebrate with Spirit of Tasmania for this important milestone."
TT-Line has transported more than 6 million passengers and 2.4 million vehicles over the past 25 years.
Today, Spirit of Tasmania’s fleet consists of two vessels - Spirit of Tasmania I and Spirit of Tasmania II. These vessels sail the 9 -11-hour journey between Devonport and Port Melbourne nightly with additional day sailings during peak periods and are the only passenger ships to operate between Tasmania and Victoria.
