A couple hoping to inspire travellers from around the world to visit New Zealand have completed their tour of the country.
Penny and Steve Bicknell have launched a website - eyeballnz.com - showcasing 16,000 photos they took in a bid to capture the best the islands have to offer.
A total of 15 months were spent on the road, in addition to 96 hours of flying time as the pair clocked up more than 50,000km of travel.
"We've endeavoured to capture New Zealand without the stock standard shots of bungy jumping [and] mud pools," said Mr Bicknell, adding that locals are now being encouraged to contribute in order to help present their homeland to the rest of the world.
And Mrs Bicknell added: "The world loves New Zealand and so do we. Kiwis love … sharing their country."
Last week, tourism officials in the country produced a list of 'small five' rare animals, urging travellers to head there to see the indigenous species.
