Despite being on the other side of the world, the long-haul flight to New Zealand will result in a spectacular holiday and is well worth the trip.
That is according to Neighbours star and New Zealand native Alan Dale, who wrote in an article for the Daily Mail that he still makes the journey to the country despite now living in Los Angeles.
Those holidaying in New Zealand could choose to stay in the actor's hometown of Waiwera, just off the east coast of the North Island and a 40-minute drive to Auckland.
"If there's a better place to escape the pressures of Hollywood I've yet to find it," Mr Dale explained, adding that it has a just a shop, a pub and its famed thermal springs.
Tourism New Zealand recently said that the country has emerged from the global economic crisis "better than expected" and remains a popular holiday destination for people all around the world.
