Kruger National Park camp 'is impressive'

Article content

8 February 2010

Kruger National Park's Lower Sabie camp in South Africa is one of the most popular accommodation spots in the region.

This is according to John Harman, writing for Suite 101, who stated that its main attraction is that it is located close to Big Five territory.

The quintuplet is made up of elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions and leopards and Mr Harman pointed out that Lower Sabie offers tourists "excellent chances" to witness these animals in abundance.

He added: "Situated right on the southern bank of the Sabie River, the camp boasts an impressive viewing deck where visitors are almost certain to spot hippos and crocodiles."

Sports fans were also advised that they will be close to the 2010 football World Cup host city of Nelspruit.

Travel editor for Lonely Planet, Tom Hall, recently said individuals who take a trip to see the World Cup will consider it the holiday "of a lifetime".
