More young people are beginning to enjoy cruise ship vacations than ever before. This is the opinion of Sarah Bull, writing for the Daily Mail, who stated she made a number of assumptions regarding this form of holiday before experiencing it for herself.
"I have to admit I did have a few preconceived ideas," she remarked. "I thought they were only really for elderly people - those retired baby-boomers with decent pensions."
However, according to Ms Bull, couples and young families are now a popular demographic for cruise ship firms.
It has all of the benefits of a normal package holiday, she explained, the only difference being that it is at sea.
Commenting on her own experience aboard the Royal Caribbean vessel Brilliance of the Seas, the journalist noted she has never had such a varied getaway.
Royal Caribbean recently announced its newest cruise ship Allure of the Seas will be expanding its inaugural itinerary by commencing its first journey four days earlier on 1 December.
