The Bonville Resort, which is ten minutes south of Coffs Harbour on the NSW North Coast, was recognised as Australia’s Second Best Golf Resort for its deluxe accommodation, fine dining, beauty, premium service and challenging 72-par golf course.
The ranking is notable as the resort improved on its fourth placed ranking last year to become the best resort in NSW and second in the country behind the highly regarded Hyatt Regency Coolum in QLD, home of the Australian PGA Championship.
Rounding out the Gold List’s top five golf resorts were Cypress Lakes on the NSW Hunter Valley, Royal Pines Resort on Queenland’s Gold Coast and The Vines Resort in Western Australia.
Bonville’s General Manager, Brad Daymond, said: "In the past twelve months we have completed a refurbishment of our accommodation rooms, upgraded our Flooded Gums Restaurant, refurbished our federation style clubhouse and completed many golf course improvement works including our bunker replacement programme.
It is pleasing to note we were only one of a few to improve their rankings and that we are now the highest ranked golf resort in New South Wales."
