We never get tired of holidays to Italy, and neither do our travellers. Here is a round-up of some of our top articles about Italy, as well as some of our favourite bloggers to read when you need a little inspiration for living la dolce vita yourself:
Articles to read
Top blogs about Italy
Heart Rome: Written by an Australian expat now residing in Rome, Heart Rome is a warm introduction to the city, from someone who remembers what it was like to get to know it herself. Whether you're planning an Italian city break here and need to know the best undiscovered restaurants, or you've visited many times and want to get to know The Eternal City a bit better, Heart Rome has very helpful articles and lots of gorgeous photography. Hard to pick a favourite post, but we like this guide to the Aventine district.
Margie in Italy: An exploration of the country by an Italian-American who has visited many times, Margie in Italy gives an overview of many facets of Italian life and travels, including answers to quirky questions such as why everyone loves San Marzano tomatoes.
Wandering Italy: A longtime favourite of many travel readers, Wandering Italy compiles some very impressive and in-depth history of many top Italian sites - and others you may not yet know about. Written with wit and an eye for insider info, this is a must-read - especially the post on the ghost town of Craco.
Italy Magazine: We would be remiss to omit this perennial favourite read in any list of Italy travel resources. In addition to destination guides and travel tis, you'll find a portal for purchasing Italian gifts and products, so you can support local businesses while you plan your holiday. We particularly like their insider guide to Tuscan food.
