People travelling across South Africa should take a trip to Sea Point if they happen to be visiting Cape Town. This is the suggestion of John Bartels, writing for Suite 101, who said it takes only 15 minutes in a vehicle and provides some "unforgettable" experiences.
"Leave the car and walk along the beach front with the beach on your left," he advised. "Absorb the atmosphere."
According to Mr Bartels, a stroll in the sand at Sea Point could even be a "highlight of your Cape Town holiday" and it will hardly cost a penny.
An evening walk here may be considered "one of Cape Town's best-kept secrets", he remarked, adding that football fans will also enjoy it as one of the World Cup 2010 stadiums can be viewed nearby.
Charles Starmer-Smith, writing recently for the Daily Telegraph, stated that Fifa has opened up 441,695 rooms for travellers looking to experience the sporting event later this year.
