Cape Town in South Africa has been described by one travel industry expert as the most exciting part of the country to visit.
Writing for the Daily Telegraph, John Wilcox stated that it has always been his favourite place to tour while spending time in South Africa.
"It reminds me a little of Berlin in the 60s and 70s - exotic and on the edge," he remarked, adding that "the brightness of colours - sea, sky [and] people" is the thing he misses most when he leaves.
According to Mr Wilcox, the city has a massive range of different cultures, which blend together seamlessly, creating "a vibrancy that is a breath of fresh air".
People experiencing South Africa for the first time should definitely take a cablecar to the top of Table Mountain, he added.
This method of seeing the sights of Cape Town was recently suggested by Suite 101 contributor John Bartels, who claimed it is a "dramatic" way to take in the view.
