WEXAS is an appointed agent of the
International Air Transport Association, the governing association
of the world's leading airlines
WEXAS is a member of the Association of
British Travel Agents (ABTA) and is bonded by ABTA for the
financial protection of members
WEXAS is a holder of an Air Transport Organiser's
Licence (ATOL) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority and
is bonded by the CAA for the financial protection of members.
Airlines are not bonded by the CAA, therefore
if you book direct with an airline and it goes bankrupt, you are
not protected. This is a very strong reason why you should always
book through an agent. If the unbonded airline fails, you are
protected through the agent's bond.
WEXAS recommends that you consider the risks in this day and age
of frequent airline failures (e.g. Swissair and Sabena) and take no
chances. Book through WEXAS to be on the safe side.
