WEXAS is committed
to minimising the effects of our business on the environment. We
aim to achieve this goal through working in partnership with many
conservation organisations for the promotion of responsible tourism
and commitment to a comprehensive environmental policy.
We are all becoming
increasingly conscious of our environmental and social
responsibilities. As a travel company we are keen to take positive
action. So in addition to our environmental policy, we have
established the WEXAS Travel Foundation – a non-profit division of
WEXAS designed to generate money for two worthy causes:

Africa Foundation
Our aim is to raise enough funds to build a classroom in
KwaZulu Natal- amount needed £11,000.
Cool Earth
Protecting acres of Rainforest - each acre costs £70. Our aim is
to protect as many acres of Rainforest as possible.
Environmental Policy
· WEXAS Literature
is printed on wood free paper and paper from sustainable forestry
sources. Brochures and packaging are recycable.
· We use the
latest technology available to provide energy saving benefits and
when computer systems are upgraded, we donate original equipment to
charitable organisations.
· Computer
consumables are recycled. In the case of printer and toner
cartridges, these benefit Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital
in London.
· Our
offices are cleaned using environmentally friendly cleaning
products only and consumables (such as hand towels) are made from
recycled paper.
· Our booking
system is paperless and, where possible, all records are kept on
systems rather than paper files. Additionally, we use e-ticketing
to further reduce paper consumption.
· The creation of
waste paper is minimised and where practicable this is pulped and
recycled.
· Our policy is to use public transport
for UK business travel.
