Days 1-4 Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi & Mekong Delta
Arrive and explore the city. Take a boat trip along the Saigon River to Cu Chi to visit the complex tunnel system used by the Communist guerrillas during the Vietnam War. Head south to the Mekong Delta and take a boat trip through the intricate waterways of the Mekong River system.
Day 5-7 Dalat & Nha Trang
Take a short flight to the French hill station of Dalat in the Central Highlands. Travel across the impressive Ngoan Muc Pass through remnants of the ancient Champa Kingdom, and on to the coastal town of Nha Trang. Cruise through the islands off Nha Trang to enjoy great swimming, snorkelling and seafood.
Days 8-10 Hoi An & Hué
Fly to Danang on the central coast, and travel the short distance to China Beach and the Marble Mountain. Continue to the quaint market town of Hoi An. Try your hand at Vietnamese cooking at a local restaurant. Travel north across the spectacular Hai Van Pass to the former imperial city of Hué. Visit the Thien Mu Pagoda and enjoy a boat cruise on the Perfume River.
Days 11-14 Hanoi & Halong Bay
Fly to the stylish capital, Hanoi. Tour the city visiting the Ho Chi Minh Quarter, the infamous Hanoi Hilton prison and enjoy a cyclo tour through the Old Quarter. Travel to Halong Bay and experience one of Vietnams most spectacular landscapes as you cruise through thousands of limestone islands in the bay made famous in the film Indochine.
