Footloose in Vietnam
Days 1–3 Saigon
On arrival you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel, the 5-star Caravelle. Take a guided walk through Saigon’s historic city landmarks and visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, formerly used for guerrilla warfare. On day three enjoy a cruise to the fruit orchards of the Mekong Delta.
Days 4–5 Nha Trang
Fly to the coastal city of Nha Trang and cycle to the Big Buddha statue. Stay at the 5-star Sheraton, cruise the clear waters of the bay, snorkel, swim and enjoy a delicious seafood lunch onboard.
Days 6–8 Hoi An
Travel to Danang and immerse yourself in Vietnam’s history at the Cham Museum. Spend two nights at the luxurious Life Heritage Resort in Hoi An and explore the city’s interesting architecture, calm beaches and quaint streets.
Days 9–10 Hué
Drive north through the mountainous Hai Van Pass to Hué, the former imperial capital, for a two-night stay in the colonial splendour of La Residence. Wander the last empire’s Forbidden City, the Citadel and the banks of the Perfume River.
Days 11–12 Hanoi
Fly to the historical and political centre of Vietnam, Hanoi, a city that exemplifies the faded elegance of French colonialism. Stay in the centrally-located Hilton Hanoi Opera and take a guided cycle tour of the Old Quarter and visit Ba Dinh Square and the Temple of Literature.
Day 13 Halong Bay
Spend the day exploring Vietnam’s greatest natural wonder, Halong Bay with its 3,000 limestone islands that rise imperiously from the sea. Return to Hanoi in the evening.
Day 14 Tour ends
Transfer to the airport.
