Mayan Ranch, Bandera, Texas
Mayan Ranch, Bandera, Texas
Mayan Dude Ranch is located in the beautiful hill country of Texas, 47 miles north west of San Antonio in Bandera - an area often referred to as the "Cowboy Capital of the World".
Open year round this ranch features almost 350 acres of picturesque trails which horse shoe through the lowlands of the Medina River.
The ranch, which has produced seven world champion rodeo cowboys, is operated by the Hicks family for 50 years who offer traditional Texan hospitality and a friendly environment.
The Mayan is ideal for novice riders and children aged 6 and above, with the mares and well trained ponies riding in single file at walking pace. They offer trail rides daily (not Sundays) into the hills or down to the Medina river, one in the morning and one in the afternoon (children under 6 can ride assisted in the corral).
