Itinerary

DAYS 1 - 2, Madrid
Fly to Madrid and check in for two nights at the Hospes Hotel in Madrid. Located in the Parque Del Retiro this fully renovated building dating from 1883 offers 41 contemporary art deco style rooms with a Spanish twist, a BODYNA spa dedicated to restoring your energies, an indoor pool and two gastronomic options in Senzone Restaurant and Senzone Tapas bar.

Two days in the Spanish capital will leave you time to visit the permanent exhibitions at the Museo del Prado, the Museo Thyssen and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia.

DAY 3, Seville
Board a high-speed train to Seville. In the evening, enjoy an introductory presentation to Iberian ham and ham cutting.

Your accommodation is at the Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza. This enclave of typically Sevillian architecture was a neighborhood patio in the eighteenth century. Its rooms are colonial in style and the 4* property has a a fresh and friendly ambience. The Dreamers room is simple and tasteful but it is worth upgrading to a deluxe or junior suite if you prefer more opulent furnishings. Make sure you discover the swimming pool-solarium on the roof, with its unique views of the historical city centre.

DAY 4, Cordoba
Begin your day with a guided walking tour of classical Seville before boarding a train to Cordoba. You’re then free to explore the city or to use your Al-Andalus pass to visit the Mosque of Cordoba, the most important Islamic monument in Western Europe.

Your accommodation in Cordoba is at the Hospes Palacio del Bailio and is one of our favourite establishments. It is the first 5-star hotel located in Cordoba’s historical heart. The Palace was built during the 16th century and in 1982 was declared a Cultural Heritage Monument. You can feel the historical and traditional atmosphere through the ruins of an ancient Roman house whilst also enjoying the flavours of the best innovative-modern cuisine at the Senzone Restaurant and Tapas Bar.

DAY 5, Granada
Relax aboard the train to the beautiful Moorish city of Granada, where your Al-Andalus pass entitles you to a guided tour of the splendid Alhambra.

Your stay in Granada is at the Hospes Palacio de los Patos. This property has two distinct wings comprising of a 19th-classic century palace with an uncompromising ultra-modern new wing. Relying heavily on minimalist materials such as stone, glass and metal, the palace’s alabaster-white interiors are sleek spaces filled with light. All 42 rooms are exquisitely decorated rooms and the Senzone restaurant represents the Andalucían culinary tradition.

DAY 6
Take a high-speed train back to Madrid, from where you’ll board your plane to London.

This tour can be tailored to suit your own requirements, allowing you to add or remove nights or to swap train travel for car hire. There is a minimum stay of 2 nights required in Madrid.
