Journey in detail:
Days 1-3 Cape Town
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, collect your hire car and proceed to the Cape Royale Hotel at Green Point, only minutes from the V&A Waterfront and opposite the Green Point stadium, built for the 2010 World Cup. Spend three days exploring this fascinating city and the beautiful Cape Peninsula. Take the Table Mountain cable car, visit the imfamous prison on Robben Island, paddle with penguins at Boulders Beach, or simply take in the restaurants and shops that the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront has to offer.
Spend three nights on a B&B basis at the 5-star Cape Royale, Cape Town.
Days 4-6 Cape Town - Franschhoek
Take a short drive to the beautifully restored Franschhoek Country House & Villas in the Winelands town of Franschhoek, famous for its many wineries, Cape Dutch architecture and stunning mountain scenery. Visit the French Hugenot monument, enjoy a wine-tasting tour or sample the fine cuisine, given that the town boasts 70% of the region's best restaurants.

Days 7-9 Winelands - Mpumalanga
Return your hire car to Cape Town airport and board a direct flight to Hoedspruit airport in Mpumalanga province where you'll collect another hire car and drive to Cybele Forest Lodge & Health Spa. Spend three days relaxing at the lodge and exploring the sights of the Panorama Route including the Blyde River Canyon, the world's 3rd deepest, and the awe-inspiring viewpoint known as God's Window.

Days 10-12 Thornybush Game Reserve
Drive up to the Thornybush Game Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park and check-in at the luxurious Shumbalala Game Reserve. Shumbalala means 'where the lion sleeps' and it's where you'll enjoy 3 days of fine game viewing, the reserve being home to the Big 5 as well as a host of other species. Enjoy morning and evening game drives and enjoying relaxing on your private viewing deck in between, taking in the sights and sounds of the bush.
Enjoy three nights on a full board basis at Shumbalala Game Lodge, Thornybush.
Day 13 Thornybush to Hoedspruit airport
Return your hire car to the airport and board your return flight to the UK.
