3 nights Kirkenes Snowhotel
Day 1: Kirkenes Snow Hotel
Fly from London to Kirkenes via Oslo with SAS and transfer to the Kirkenes Snowhotel. Enjoy a welcome drink at the Ice Bar, followed by a delicious three-course dinner, served by the open fireplace. After dinner you'll have the chance to explore the Snowhotel, to meet the resident reindeer and, with any luck, catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Then it's off to your spacious Snow Room for a night in a thermal sleeping bag, surrounded by beautiful examples of ice and snow art adorning the walls. The pictures make it look like you're sleeping on ice but although the beds are framed by ice blocks, they have comfortable mattresses with thermal insulation on top.

Days 2-3: Optional excursions
Begin the day with a warming sauna before breakfast, then check in to a Gamme cabin for two nights. These designer cabins are a brand new addition to the Snowhotel and offer private facilities and tall windows made of one-way glass, which is perfect for privacy while leaving the view clear should the Northern Lights appear. The rest of your time is free for optional excursions, such as fishing for king crabs in the icy Barents Sea. With few natural enemies, these red king crabs can grow up to six feet wide and weigh up to 25 pounds. Snowmobile tours and husky safaris are other popular options, both of which are also available as evening excursions in search of the Northern Lights.
