Fjord Focus in Norway
Highlights of Oslo, Bergen, Geirangerfjord & Alesund
Everything about Geirangerfjord is dramatic: a great slice of deep blue, snaking like an ‘S’ between sheer rock walls and cascading waterfalls. This is just one highlight of this eight-day tour from Oslo to Bergen. Even among Oslo’s terrific shops and restaurants, you’re just a ten-minute boat ride from Oslofjord’s beaches.
From Oslo journey north to Ålesund, relaxing en route on the Raumabanen Railway, one of the most beautiful rail lines in Norway. Ålesund is worth at least the day we’ve planned here; a base for fishing, hiking, cycling and swimming. It’s also the gateway to Geirangerfjord, which you’ll see from the water on a Hurtigruten day cruise.
Complete the journey by cruising overnight down the rugged Norwegian coast, arriving in Bergen for a final two nights in the old Norwegian capital.
