Introduction

To discover real America is to get away from the iconography. Like fast food you might take in the Big Apple, Disneyworld, Hollywood, Vegas and all the ‘star bangled banner’ has to offer but more stable fare can be  found elsewhere. The genuine warmth of the deep south, the true unspoilt

beauty of the prairies, the grand canyon, the natural parks of Yellowstone and Yosemite or the great lakes. Why not enjoy the freedom and adventure of taking your car out on the open road and discover the real America? You may also just find out why so few native to the states choose to take a vacation

overseas.
