Conclude your trip by discovering the highlights and delights of the capital Kuala Lumpur for a broad introduction to and appreciation of everything the country has to offer.


Day 1: Flight to Penang

Depart UK on your flight to Penang

Day 2: Arrive Penang

On arrival in Penang you will be met and transferred to your Hotel The rest of the day will be free to spend at your leisure, exploring Penang.

Day 3: Penang

Depart for a half-day Georgetown Heritage Tour, exploring the streets of colonial George Town and its rich heritage. The tour will include visits to Khoo Kongsi, Yap Kongsi and Ciji Temple, Hock Teik Cheng Sin Temple , Cheah Kongsi and Pinang Peranakan Mansion. You’ll also see Fort Cornwallis and the bustling streets of China Town and Little India.

Day 4: Penang

Spend a day relaxing on the beaches at Batu Ferringhi before visiting one of the city’s fascinating night markets.

Day 5: Penang - Cameron Highlands

Pick up your hire car and drive to the Cameron Highlands. There’s much to see en route, including the Iskandar Waterfalls, aboriginal settlements and tea plantations. As you head further into the highlands the air cools as you escape the humidity of the plains. You’ll arrive at your hotel in the early afternoon. The rest of the day is free for you to spend at your leisure. In the evening, venture into Tanah Rata town to enjoy some local cuisine.

Day 6: Cameron Highlands

Spend the day exploring the Cameron Highlands including tea plantations, local villages and a butterfly farm

Day 7: Cameron Highlands - Taman Negara

Continue on your self-drive by heading to Kuala Tembeling Jetty. On arrival, register at the resort counter before setting off by boat down the Tembeling River to the Taman Negara National Park, home to some of the oldest rainforest on earth. The relaxing boat journey passes through some stunning scenery en route to the park. After dinner at the resort, enjoy a video presentation on the National Park before heading out on a nighttime jungle walk in search of nocturnal wildlife.

Day 8: Taman Negara

Enjoy a full day of guided activities, including jungle trekking and a stroll along the canopy walkway in search of some of the park’s abundant wildlife. After lunch, take a boat trip to Lata Berkoh for a swim in the cascades, surrounded by virgin rainforest and the sounds of the jungle.

Day 9: Taman Negara

Today is your last full day at Taman Negara. In the morning, enjoy a visit to Orang Asli Village to meet some of the local tribes people. After lunch, relax at the resort where you can sometimes see macaques, wild boar and occasionally samba deer, or, if you feel adventurous, spend some time shooting the rapids at Kuala Trenggan.

Day 10: Taman Negara - Kuala Lumpur

During the morning, travel by boat back to Kuala Tembeling to collect your car and continue your drive to Kuala Lumpur. Return your hire car and check into your hotel before heading out to explore Malaysia’s capital city.

Day 11: Kuala Lumpur

Spend a full day exploring Kuala Lumpur including the Masjid Jamek, the National Mosque, Petronal Towers and China Town before taking a trip to Batu Caves.

Day 12: Kuala Lumpur - UK

Spend your last day at leisure in Kuala Lumpur, with some last minute sightseeing and shopping before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.
