Day by day itinerary

Day 1
Tokyo

Arrive at the Narita International Airport, transfer to the ANA Intercontinental Hotel Tokyo. Evening and dinner are at your leisure.

Day 2
Tokyo

After breakfast you will have some time to experience the area on your own before enjoying a panoramic guided tour of Tokyo in the afternoon. You will pass by famous landmarks such as the Roppongi area, the Kasumigaseki Area and the Imperial Palace which is the former Edo castle. If you are a shopping savvy don’t miss your chance to browse through the most up-market shopping district of Tokyo in Ginza. Finally, enjoy a traditional Japanese-style BBQ dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3
Tokyo and Mount Fuji

Following breakfast, drive to the fifth station of Mt. fuji and enjoy extraordinary views of the mountain’s awe-inspiring surrounding terrain. Continuing on, board an 18-passenger aerial gondola, for a spectacular ride over the Owakudani Valley. Then we will transfer you to Lake Ashi to board a unique, Viking-style boat and cruise the placid waters and experience beautiful sights such as the forest-clad mountain slopes and the refl ection of Fuji’s majestic cone in the lake.

On return to Tokyo, the evening is at your leisure.

Day 4
Tokyo

After breakfast, visit the iconic tokyo tower, Japan’s second-tallest self-supporting steel tower and the Meiji shrine, which stands in a dense forest glade at the very heart of Tokyo. For a real authentic experience lunch will be at a local Japanese restaurant, followed by a visit to Asakusa Kannon temple before your transfer to the ship.

Day 5
Shimizu

On a clear day, you can see magnificent Mount Fuji from the lively Port of Shimizu. Visit The S-Pulse Dream Plaza to tour the Shimizu Sushi Museum with informative displays and models that show the history and variations of Japan’s most famous fare. Stroll through the Kashi-no-Ichi Market, where some of the port's fresh seafood is sold and be sure to enjoy a delicious cup of tea.

Days 6-7
Osaka

Osaka is the third largest city in Japan and the central metropolis of the Kansai region. Osaka dates back to the Asuka and Nara period. Under the name Naniwa, it was the capital of Japan from 683 to 745, long before the upstarts at Kyoto took over. Even after the capital was moved elsewhere, Osaka continued to play an important role as a hub for land, sea and river-canal transportation. In a nation of obsessive gourmands Osaka is known as an excellent place to eat.

Okinawa (Naha)

Explore this beautiful island and visit imposing Shuri Castle, home of the Ryukyu royal family for 400 years. Enjoy the scenic countryside, the WWII memorials, the magnificent limestone caves and a reconstructed Ryukyu village where the island’s heritage and crafts are on display. Take home exquisite Bingata fabric, handmade paper, colorful tsuboyayaki pottery and other craft items. Foods to suite any palate can be found here.

Pt. Klang (Kuala Lumpur)

Keelung’s landscape is a blend of mountainous terrain with a beautiful coastline. Attractions include Heping Island with rock formations that arouse intrigue and curiosity, the Chungcheng Park known for the statue of the Goddess of Mercy, the Ho Ping Coastal park that’s perfect for diving and sea fishing and the Shiandung Cave that’s sea-eroded. The not to be missed food market surrounding the Denji Temple has a myriad of delicacies to sample from.

Day 11
Kaohsiung

Perched at the southern end of Taiwan, Kaohsiung’s roots date back to the 17th century, when it was a small fishing village. Today, it’s the second most populous city in Taiwan and known as the Harbor Capital. Visitors enjoy visits to the Fo Guang Shan monastery, with its hall of giant Buddhas, and the beautiful landscapes of Kenting National Park.

Hong Kong

In 1841, Hong Kong became a British Crown colony when it was acquired from China. In 1984, Britain and China signed an agreement which stated Hong Kong would return to China, but that it would maintain in its capitalist system for 50 years. This transfer took place during on June 30, 1997 under great pomp and ceremony. Its enormous harbor, vast industrialization and free port status make it a major Asian crossroad, and perhaps the best place to shop in the world.

Xiamen

Originally established as a major seaport in the Song Dynasty, Xiamen today remains an important Chinese trade center. Historical sites from many eras await your discovery from charming Old Town to the former international settlement on neighboring Gulang Island. Hulishan Fortress, built in 1894, offers a tour of the tunnels and trenches, and displays of ancient weaponry; Jimei Park features eclectic architecture and elegant pavilions along Dragon Boat Lake. For a look at ancient times, take in the most respected Buddhist venue in China, Putuo Temple complex, with its classic front gate, many halls, garrets, and ponds; and be sure not to miss the Seven Buddha Tower
