Meet Santa in Lapland Finland
As summer turns to autumn, countless Santa holidays are available to book. Most herd their guests into large, impersonal groups and offer little more than a taster of the most popular winter activities and no more than a glimpse of St Nicholas himself.
We like to do things a little differently. This particular trip include private meetings for just you and your family with Father Christmas and allow you to choose your own additional activities, so that you can have a holiday just the way you want it.
Kakslauttanen Christmas Break, Finland
Take your family to a private log cabin deep within Finnish Lapland. Visit Santa and his elves, take your pick of the activities on offer or even spend a night in snow room or a heated glass igloo, staring up at the stars or perhaps - if you’re lucky - the Northern Lights.
Day 1: Arrival
Fly with Finnair via Helsinki to Ivalo via Helsinki and transfer to Hotel Kakslauttanen. Your accommodation for the next three nights will be a cosy log cabin, complete with sauna and crackling fireplace.
Day 2-3: Santa visit & optional excursions
The beauty of this trip is that you get to choose how best to have fun. You could maybe take off on a snowmobile safari, learn how to mush with your own team of huskies, or take to the hills on snowshoes or cross-country skis.
On one special evening you’ll be met by the elves and taken to Santa’s own house, where you can talk with Santa over hot drinks and biscuits. You’ll also be taken to see Santa’s reindeer and to magical Gold Creek, where special Gold Elves use their secret recipe to turn elf-mined gold into millions of presents for children around the world.
Day 4: Departure*
After breakfast you’ll transfer to the airport for your flight home and clutching a lifetime worth of memories.
