Day 1 Arrive Luxor
Arrive in Luxor and board the MS Nile Premium, one of the Nile’s newest and most luxurious boats, boasting cabins decorated in dark wood with opulent soft furnishings and panoramic windows. Facilities include a small pool, sun deck, restaurant, cocktail lounge, bar and fitness room. Expert Egyptologists accompany a full week of sightseeing.
Day 2 The West Bank
Visit several of the tombs in the Valley of the Kings and Valley ofthe Queens. The tombs are open according to a system of rotation and there is an additional charge for the Tomb of Tutankhamun. You’ll also visit the Temple of Hatshepsut and the
Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon, set sail for Edfu.
Day 3 Edfu
See the Temple of Horus, the second largest temple complex in Egypt and one of the best preserved. Sail to Aswan in the afternoon. The Classic Nile Cruise Luxor to Luxor Day 4 Aswan Visit the High Dam, the construction of which finished in 1971, creating Lake Nasser. Continue to the Temple of Isis on the Island of Philae. Later, enjoy sailing a felucca around Kitchener’s Island.
Day 5 Abu Simbel (optional)
Enjoy a day at leisure or take an optional excursion by plane (at additional cost) to the colossal sun temple at Abu Simbel, relocated during the building of the High Dam.
Day 6 Kom Ombo
Sail to Kom Ombo to visit the temple dedicated to the crocodile god, Sobek, and the falcon-headed Haroeris.
Continue to Esna.
Day 7 Karnak
Explore the most magnificent of the Nile temples, the Temple of Karnak, constructed over a vast area during a period of some 1,300 years. Follow this up with a trip to the Temple of Luxor.
Day 8 Luxor
Disembark at Luxor and fly back to the UK.
