Botswana Wilderness Safari
Discover Botswana's wildlife
Spend an amazing six nights in the wilderness areas of the Okavango Delta and the Linyanti Concession viewing game in safari vehicles or by canoe through the waterways of the delta. Stay in tented lodges and fly between them to maximise your time in this pristine corner of Africa.
Days 1 and 2 Maun to Okavango Delta
On arrival at Maun Airport, you will be met by a Wilderness Safaris representative who will assist you with your scheduled light aircraft transfer to Chitabe Camp, a luxurious 8-roomed, tented camp built on one of the most beautiful islands in the Okavango Delta in a private area that is bordered on three sides by the Moremi Game Reserve. Activities consist of day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles accompanied by an experienced guide. Shorter nature walks are also sometimes offered. Wildlife viewing will include buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, reedbuck, lechwe, impala, zebra and hippo. Wild dogs also roam the area and night drives can be very rewarding with good sightings of the rarer nocturnal animals.
Enjoy 2 nights at Chitabe Camp.
Days 3 and 4 Okavango Delta
Transfer from Chitabe Camp for your scheduled light aircraft transfer to Jacana Camp. Jacana is situated outside the Moremi Game reserve on the Jao flats and is a true water camp offering mokoro (dug-out canoe) and walking safaris. Wildlife concentrations depend on the water flow and volume and thus change from season to season but all the big animals can be found in the area including elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo.
Spend the next 2 nights at Jacana Camp enjoying the prolific game in this wilderness region.
Days 5 and 6 Okavango Delta - Linyanti
Transfer from Jacana Camp for your scheduled light aircraft transfer to Savuti Camp. Savuti Camp is situated in the Linyanti Concession along the Savute Channel in northern Botswana. Savuti Camp is a comfortable camp providing accommodation in 7 walk-in tented rooms with en-suite facilities. Activities include game drives in open 4x4 Land Rovers, canoeing (this is water level permitting and subject to elephant concentration), hides, night drives and walks with an armed guide. Wildlife in the area includes all of Botswana’s big animals and is one of the best areas in the country to see predators. There is also a good concentration of plains game in the area.
Spend 2 nights at Savuti Camp.
Day 7 Linyanti - Maun
Transfer Savuti Camp for your scheduled light aircraft transfer to Maun Airport where your safari ends.
