4-day Zambezi Queen River Safari
Explore Chobe National Park & the Caprivi Strip
The banks of the Chobe River not only divide Namibia’s Caprivi Strip from Botswana’s Chobe National Park, they also boast one of the densest populations of wildlife on the African continent, including lion, leopard, buffalo, waterbuck, roan, eland, sable, giraffe, the rare puku and the largest population of elephant in the world - currently estimated at around 120,000. In the river itself, watch out for hippo and crocodile.
But why join the crowds at a land-based lodge when you can cruise along the river on a 45-metre luxury boat? The Zambezi Queen offers 14 suites, all with private balconies and king size beds. The top deck is given over to a dining room, lounge, bar and sunbathing area complete with aft pool.
Whether you are watching animals gather by the river at dusk, game viewing from one of the private tenders, laughing with the children of a local village or attempting to land your first tiger fish, this African journey is a hard one to beat and makes an excellent extension to a holiday in Botswana, Zambia or even South Africa.
Journey in detail:
