Days 1-2: Adelaide
Arrive in Adelaide and transfer to the Crowne Plaza hotel in the heart of this sophisticated, enchanting city. Soak up the pulsating pub, arts and live music scene; explore the vibrant central market and shady Botanic Gardens; take a dip at the beach before a fish and chip supper; or head out for hikes in the Mount Lofty Ranges.

Days 3-4: Barossa Valley
Collect your hire car and wind your way to the famous Barossa Valley, home to some of the world’s best shiraz. Upwards of 150 wineries, ranging from big-name sellers to boutique bottlers are based in this fertile region and the majority of these offers tasting facilities.

Days 5-6: Flinders Ranges
Continue on to Arkaba Station in the Flinders Ranges, an incredible Outback landscape of fertile bush, jagged gorges, arid mountains and burning hot ground. Arkaba Station is a working sheep station and luxury heritage homestead set in 40,000 acres of private wilderness sanctuary.

Day 7: Adelaide
Return your hire car to Adelaide, where you’ll spend another night before your wildlife adventure begins.

Days 8-9: Kangaroo Island
Hop on a flight to Kangaroo Island, home to an incredible array of wildlife, including possums, platypus, bandicoots, wallabies, more than 250 bird species and hundreds of kangaroos. On the coast you’ll find seals, sea lions, pairs of little penguins emerging from the surf and at the right time of year, migrating whales. Add towering cliffs, sheltered beaches and an interior swathed in dense bush and forest, and it’s no wonder the island is seen by many as a zoo without fences.
