DAYs 6–7 Chesapeake /Eastern Shore
Take the next two days to explore Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Visit the beautiful harbour town of St Michaels where you’ll stay in the luxurious Inn at Perry Cabin.
DAYs 8–9 Virginia Beach
Virginia Beach is the world’s longest pleasure beach. You can stroll along it, take out a kayak in search of dolphins or sip a cocktail on the boardwalk as you watch the sun set.
DAYs 10–11 Williamsburg
Colonial Williamsburg is the most extensively restored 18th century town in the US, and also home of Busch Gardens Europe.
DAYs 12–13 Charlottes Ville
Lying in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the charming town of Charlottesville has a strong cultural pedigree. Thomas Jefferson’s former home, Monticello, is well worth a visit.
DAYs 14–15 Shenandoah Valley
Your route takes you through lush rolling countryside to the splendour of the Skyline Drive. Return to Washington, DC.
