Itinerary
Day 1 - Fly to Venice, take your private water taxi transfer to the 5* Bauer Il Palazzo (BB) - your home for the next two nights.
Day 2 - At leisure to explore what has to be one of the romantic places in Europe. Unchanged for virtually 600 years. Stroll through the backstreets, visit Doge’s Palace or ride the Vaporetto down the Grand Canal just before sunset.
Day 3 - Take your private water taxi to the Santa Lucia train station where you board the Orient-Express for your journey home. You will have plenty of time to settle into your private compartment before enjoying a three-course lunch as the Italian Dolomites and Swiss Alps pass by. Afternoon tea is served in your compartment followed by a leisurely four-course dinner in one of the beautifully restored restaurant cars.
Day 4 - Enjoy breakfast and a brief stop (40 mins) in Paris before you travel towards the French coast for the channel crossing. Brunch and Afternoon High Tea are served and all too soon you are drawing into London Victoria station.

This adventure starts with an overnight stay at the Bauer Il Palazzo (5*) in Venice, where the following day you join the Orient-Express for an overnight journey to Budapest. After two nights in this charming capital staying at the charismatic Stary Hotel (5*) you rejoin the Orient Express for a further night on board before you return revived and revitalised to London.

Day 3 - Breakfast & lunch are served on board whilst you spend the morning relaxing in the comfort of your compartment or chatting with fellow travellers in the Bar Car. On arrival in Budapest you will be transferred to the Sofitel Chain Bridge Budapest for 2 nights (BB)
Day 4 - At leisure. Time to explore the two very different sides of Buda and Pest.
Day 5 - You will rejoin the Orient-Express to enjoy brunch, afternoon tea & dinner and more traveller’s tales whilst Europe passes by your window.
Day 6 - Another full day on the train. Passing through Paris and speeding through the Kent scenery before arriving after High Tea in London.

Day 3 - Breakfast and lunch are taken on the Orient-Express. Arriving in Krakow mid afternoon, you will transfer to the charismatic Stary Hotel Krawkow, which will be your base for the following 2 nights (BB)
Day 4 - Day at leisure in Krakow
Day 5 - More time to explore Krakow before boarding the Orient-Express at 1800 hrs where you will enjoy a four-course dinner and perhaps you may want to linger in the Bar and swop tales with your fellow travellers.
Day 6 - After breakfast you arrive in Dresden where you will be staying in the Taschenbergpalais Kempinski for 2 nights (BB). This hotel enjoys a prime location in the heart of the city.
Day 7 - Day at leisure in Dresden
Day 8 - With the morning free to do some last minute shopping, you’ll then rejoin the Orient-Express and settle down for your journey through Europe.
Day 9 - A further day spent on the train. After a short stop in Paris (40 mins) you’ll enjoy brunch and High tea on board before arriving back in London with a suitcase full of memories at around 5pm.
