Based in the riverside city of Bordeaux, these new bespoke breaks feature guided chateaux tours by day and wine-tasting sessions in traditional Bordeaux bars by night.
The tailor-made itineraries offer a choice of guided vineyard tours to four of France’s finest and most lauded wine growing sub-regions; Medoc, home to the region’s most famous chateaux such as Margaux, Latife, Latour and Mouton Rothschild; Sauternes, celebrated for its sweet dessert wines; Graves and the UNESCO World Heritage site of St Emilion.
To help inspire you, we have three different packages to choose from, each offering guests the chance to spend an evening under the tutelage of charismatic local hosts who will talk through tastings of three Bordeaux wines, accompanied by cheeses and meats.
Basic Bordeaux
Includes: 2 night stay in a city centre hotel, half day guided tour to either Graves, Sauternes or Medoc, 3-course lunch or dinner with accompanying wines and tutored tasting session in a Bordeaux bar with cheese and meats.
Standard Bordeaux
Includes: 2 night stay in a city centre hotel, full day guided tour to either Medoc or St Emilion, a tutored tasting session in a convivial Bordeaux bar with cheese and meats, a 4-course gourmet dinner in a premium city centre restaurant with accompanying wines.
Standard Plus
Includes: 3 night stay in central Bordeaux, all the delights of the standard package and an extra half-day guided tour to either Graves, Sauternes or Medoc.
