For sea lovers, the oceans of Sharm El Sheikh are bursting with some of the most colourful and exotic marine life - a haven for divers and snorkellers.

Hurghada

Hurghada is a vibrant and lively destination on the shores of the Red Sea. While close enough to the desert for an exciting jeep safari, and an ideal base for day trips to Cairo, it’s Hurghada’s underwater gardens that have established it as one of the finest destinations in Egypt. The warm waters are ideal for the coral reefs and exotic fish that line the coast, making for some world-beating scuba diving and snorkelling.

Recommended Hotel:

Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh, Hurghada

Soma Bay

An exclusive resort on Egypt’s Red Sea coast and just 45 km from Hurghada International Airport, Soma Bay offers year-round sunshine, beautiful sandy beaches and some of the best diving in the region. Other water sports, including windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing, are equally popular, and when guests aren’t playing in the water they’re often being soothed by its healing properties - Soma Bay has one of the largest spas and thalassotherapy centers in Egypt. Luxury hotels abound and several have access to an 18-hole championship golf course designed by none other than Gary Player himself.

Recommended Hotel:

Kempinski Hotel, Soma Bay
